Near Light is an archival pigment print made from an original ink drawing created with a bamboo stick, developed through subtle digital collage and colour adjustments.

Printed in a large format on Awagami Bamboo washi from Japan, the soft, gently translucent paper responds beautifully to light. Its delicate surface softens the image and allows it to subtly shift as the viewing angle changes.

The work holds a memory seen through distance and time — an evening when the sky was dark, yet a soft light seemed to spread across everything, making it difficult to tell where darkness ended and light began.
